Some foods are not good for babies and should not be Introduced until the child is older. These foods include:

Honey and Corn Syrup. Both of these foods should be avoided until your baby is at least 12 months old. They contain bacterial spores that can cause a form of botulism.

Choking hazards: The following list . of foods is dangerous due to your baby's lack of teeth and lack of mouth/tongue coordination; offering these too early can result in choking. It is recommended to hold off introducing these foods until your child is 2-3 years old.
Nuts (other than finely ground)
Peanut butter
Caramel candy
Gum
Whole grapes
Raw hard fruits and vegetables
Chunks of meat
Pieces of bacon
Hot dogs
Sunflower seeds
Raisins
Popcorn
Potato or corn chips
Hard candy

Foods high in nitrates: Foods that are high in nitrates can cause anemia and should not be included in your child's diet until the age of 8 months. High nitrates foods can be either vegetables or meats. Here is a list: Vegetables: beets, carrots, green beans, spinach, and collard greens; Meats: hot dogs, cured ham, bacon, bologna, and salami.

Sugar, salt and caffeine: As general rule foods containing high amounts of salt, sugar, or caffeine usually do not contain many vitamins and minerals. Stay away from them.
